Professional Etiquette, Reflective Practice and Business Advice Practical Tutorial

This weekend is a must for those students who intend to set up in business as a therapist of any discipline. The topics to be covered will include the importance of regulations and legislation for health and safety, insurance, professional boundaries, confidentiality, individualising case studies and treatments and self care You will also have the opportunity to look at desk and field research, pricing, location, and start up funds. VAT and contributions will also be covered.

Avril will be combining the nuts and bolts of business with essential tips for students. Visualisation techniques, developing listening and healing techniques, practise cleansing with scent and sound; working with children; energy medicines and breathing techniques will make this a memorable tutorial.

Venue - The Kevala Centre

The tutorials are held in a large converted and updated coach house and set in landscaped gardens. If you attend a tutorial during the spring and summer you can take advantage of the sunshine and scents by eating your lunch out on the patio or the seating overlooking the Centre, with views of the beach and surrounding coastline. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and you will be pleased to know the ambience is unlike your school or college days. All students are welcome to bring their own lunch to enjoy at the centre with refrigeration and cooking facilities available.

Costs and Accommodation

£125.00 inc. VAT, excluding accommodation and travel. There are a number of hotels within a short distance of the centre and further details are listed in the tutorial booklet or alternatively you can contact the centre for further information.

Requirements

This tutorial is open to All students and those interested setting up practice once they have qualified.
