Aromatherapy and Massage
Choose workshops to suit your particular needs. The tutorials give a wide range of support and topics from identifying the important indicators in a case study; Improving your practical techniques and mixing Essential Oils.
These weekends give you an ideal opportunity to give a massage and be observed and corrected where necessary in a relaxed and informative atmosphere.
‘The hands-on experience of massage with a qualified tutor overseeing is invaluable.'

'I felt that the tutorial brought to life the understanding I had of the subject’

Practical Tutorials 2008
Aromatherapy (AAPA)
with tutor Carole Preen
These workshops run from 9am to 6pm each day
Students on the new AAPA course may choose from a range of workshops we have on offer in 2008. Those who wish to join the AAPA register will be required to attend six.
Base carrier oils will be supplied but students will need to bring their own essential oils, towels; one bath sheet and one bath towel and wear dark (preferably black) trousers or skirts and white tops for practical work.
Aromatherapy is still self-regulated in the UK and the Diploma alone allows you to set up as a practitioner. But those students who wish to register with the AAPA, ie. attending all six workshops, are also required to complete an external final exam. Details of cost and when and where this will take place will be provided by your tutor upon request.

6th & 7th December 2008 with Carole Preen at Hinckley Venue - This a product making week-end. It involves making products for family and personal use, particularly useful for Christmas presents, as well as making blends for profit when working as a professional aromatherapist. The products we will be making are aloe vera base creams, bath bombs, aromatherapy soaps, lip balms, scrubbie bars and bath melts plus making creams and lotion for patients to support their well-being in between treatments. Your tutor will charge an extra fee of approximately £10 to cover all the equipment and base products you need, including cellophane to wrap the products, plus Christmas ribbons, bows and tags to make them ready to give as gifts. This truly is a fun week-end and yet very informative as you will learn lots of ideas and information about blending essential oils. You will also need to buy some glass jars from the on-site shop if you want to participate in everything. We will also look at labelling requirements for these in line with the Law. You will also have the opportunity to enhance your aromatherapy massage skills and the areas covered will be determined on the day by the students present and where they are in terms of study. A range of carrier oils will be supplied but students should bring their own essential oils. We also recommend that you bring a large plastic container/sandwich box to carry all your beautiful gifts home safely. All other resources will be provided at the venue where there is also an opportunity to purchase quality essential oils and other aromatherapy related items from the shop. Students need to wear dark (preferably black) trousers or skirts and white tops for practical work.
