“Attending the Holistic Stress Management weekend tutorial was a very relaxing and informative affair!
Kim our tutor, with a smile on her face and a great deal of enthusiasm, somehow managed to disseminate all the diverse threads of information on HSM to us… whilst at the same time encouraging the group to exchange relevant views and experiences…and provide us the opportunities of “practice” sessions with each other. How she achieved so much with us I don’t know - the weekend whizzed by without a boring moment!" - Sarah Peters
Holistic Stress Management
Practical Tutorials 2008
Stress can be generated from external demands or from within ourselves, by our own expectations, fears, hopes and beliefs. What is perceived as stressful to one person may be an exciting challenge to another. Everyone is an individual and responds differently to each situation. A person will experience an event as stressful if the coping resources that are available to them are perceived to be inadequate. Leaving them feeling that they cannot cope with the situation. Holistic Stress management is suited to people from all walks of life and regardless of previous experience. It is a useful method which can be used on it’s own or alongside other areas.
4th/5th October with Tim Hunt at Kevala Centre - 'The Art of Living and Consultancy Practise'.
Designed to complement our Holistic Stress Management course at Kevala, this tutorial explores the dynamics of the art of living well, looking at ways of achieving optimum health, including meditation, yoga, relaxation and affirmations! In this study of holistic health we look at the relationship between mind and body and the importance of the energy system, as described by the Chakra system.
The second part of this tutorial is an opportunity to practise stress management consultancy and to gain valuable practical experience in this field. The business aspects of setting up a consultancy will also be considered.
This tutorial aims to be engaging, practical and fun and is suited to the beginner and the experienced in this field.
