The Kevala Centre holds an interesting range of day and evening classes run by our own tutors and by outside organisations. Our programme ranges from:
Yoga
A series of different yoga classes in our yoga studio (Hatha, Astanga, dynamic yoga linked with Ayurvedic principles etc)
Meditation
Buddhist meditation - a drop in session
Reiki Circle
Support and networking for those who hold the first level
Tai Chi/Qi Quang
A gentle meditative movement with breath suitable for all ages
Art, Literature and Self-development programmes
We work in partnership with the WEA and run a programme which can include Focussing, Emotional Freedom Technique, Art and Literature, Book Circles, History of Art etc We always welcome suggestions from you for future programmes. Contact us directly with your ideas.
Thai Massage
Our programme for this year by external organisations include a wonderful Thai Massage Tutorial open to everyone on the 15 & 16 of July. The cost of the two day training event is £130.00. Phone for details and further information available on our website soon.
Open House Weekends
Some of our own weekend practical Tutorials can be assessed by every one. Ask for further details - 01803 215678. There is for example an Introduction to Iridology on the 8 and 9 of July.
Natural Products
Enquire for details about our short evening session on making beauty and house-hold products from natural plant interesting sources. If you care for your skin and the environment and want to have a fascinating evening ask for a programme.

Pure Land Buddhist Meditation
Thursdays 7.00pm Phone Chonyi on 01392 490058 to reserve a place or find out more. A gentle night of meditation and readings followed by drinks and nibbles. This is a drop-in evening and everyone will be made very welcome. Starts Feb 2nd.

Morning Yoga
with
Sarah commences on Thursday 19th of January for 6 weeks. A led practice designed to stimulate and energise the systems of the body. This energising class is open to everyone. Tel: 01803 329861 to ensure a place. Contact Sarah to reserve a place. Sarah incorporates the chakras and ayurvedic principles in some of her classes.
Astanga
with
John Evans on Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm. Not suitable for those with no yoga experience. Popular class. Reserve a place or book for next term on 01803 847976 Thursday 5th of January.
Late Comers can sometimes join a class depending on numbers.
Tai Chi
Find balance in your life with this gentle but powerful discipline, Contact Mathew ay the Devon School of Tai Chi on 01548 531447. This session starts with a free class on Tuesday 10th January 2006 at 5.15.pm - 6.15pm. Followed by a 10 week programme.
The new classes will be open to all levels. Places are limited and you will need to book in advance to ensure a place is available for you.

Day and evening classes are held at Kevala through this nationwide Adult Learning Association. Contact the WEA Regional Office in Exeter to book a course 0845 4582758 for brochure and bookings.
First Steps in Focusing - An Introductory Course Run by the WEA
Focusing is a way of listening that facilitates change and resolution of issues. It helps you discover a new way forward that you could not have predicted and that contains its own wisdom. This is open to every one - professionals and any one who wants to use this technique for self development.
