Nutritional Therapy Clinical Practice

Nutritional Therapy Clinical Practice

"It wasn't until I started seeing clients during my clinical practice course, that I was to realise the benefit of the theory that I had completed over the two previous years. Having my tutor there during these client practice sessions helped enormously in reassuring me, and my confidence grew considerably.

I now feel I have all the tools I need to offer clients the very best advice!. - Sam Silvester

Those students who have completed the original Nutritional Therapy Course or Nutritional Advisor & Nutritional Therapeutics courses can now apply to go on the waiting list for the next intake of students for the Clinical Practice level with Jackie Day. Look at the library section for a review of the course by students currently completing this stage. Crucial and information packed. 4 modules and five weekend attendance.

Please apply early as places are limited.

This part can only be studied by those who have completed our existing course or as the third element on the new course. The programme consists of 4 modules and 5 compulsory attendance weekends. The tutorials are held every two months. The emphasis in on case studies and students on the course have found this invaluable and really extended their skills and knowledge in this crucial area. See the review given by one of the students on the website.

This is how Sam Sylvester a current level 2 student see the course.

Level one gives you the foundations of Anatomy and Physiology, nutrition and how to take a case study. Level Two (Clinical Practice) then takes you onto the next stage of really working with and understanding clients. This includes how to evaluate the initial approach, how to refer on if appropriate, how to prepare to assess the client, understanding your role and establishing objectives with clients, how to prioritise their symptoms using other diagnostic techniques where applicable, reporting back and follow ups. This is achieved using real and complex case studies which are researched and then discussed at the five weekend workshops throughout the year.

Working constantly with the same students throughout the year allows you to share ideas and fact sheets and learn from those already in Practice. Jackie Day has a balanced and matter of fact approach to teaching, coupled with her experience in iridology and Herbalism this makes for a fascinating course.

Level Two is an interesting and in-depth study which completes the nutritional package offered by the Kevala Centre and gives you the confidence and expertise to be able to set up a competent practice.
