Colin has worked in the medical field for over 26 years but in the last decade has gravitated towards Complementary Medicine due to the his interest in the holistic element. He has lectured at a number of colleges and universities in the South West and is also a visiting lecturer for the Federation of Holistic Therapies. He has many qualifications related to both orthodox and Complementary medicine.

Colin lectures on many aspects of health and medicine and also at many educational levels. He runs his own Health Clinic practising treatments which involve often a combination of his three disciplines of Aromatherapy, Osteopathy and Acupuncture as well as using his counselling skills.

Other particular areas of interest include mental health and drug and alcohol abuse, and he has worked in numerous wards related to these areas, including a Drug and Alcohol detoxification unit in Sydney, Australia, with a concurrent D & A information service for New South Wales.  He has also worked in hospitals in Queensland and New Zealand. At various stages he has been in managerial positions in wards both in Exeter and in Oxford, where he also helped to introduce the Complementary Medicine health model.
